**Job Purpose**
The Protection Emergency Officer directly supervises the work of the protection teams in one of the two governorates) Idlib or Aleppo), in terms of safety of implementation, cooperation of the teams, coordination with the supporting departments, and maintaining good relations with the concerned stakeholders in the targeted areas.

**Job Purpose**
The Protection Emergency Officer directly supervises the work of the protection teams in one of the two governorates) Idlib or Aleppo), in terms of safety of implementation, cooperation of the teams, coordination with the supporting departments, and maintaining good relations with the concerned stakeholders in the targeted areas.
Protection Emergency Officers coordinate directly with the project manager in Turkey and safe space managers to set and track work plans and daily reports ensuring that the project is on track.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. Close coordination with the project manager in Turkey and with the WGSS managers to implement the daily program and operational plans.
2. Coordinating with the supporting departments in IYD (monitoring & evaluation, security, safety, financial, logistical, and media) to facilitate daily operations.
3. Carrying out field coordination visits to stakeholders (local authorities, camp managers, and organizations operating in the same locations) to introduce project activities and coordinate any potential cooperation opportunities.
4. Confirmation of the daily, weekly, and monthly work plans proposed by the centers' managers and approved by the project manager.
5. Contribute to tracking the project's risk management plan and suggesting the most appropriate solutions to challenges and improving work.
6. Contribute to building the capabilities of the team according to the plan of the technical supervisor in Turkey (if technical expertise is available) and in cooperation with field technical supervisors (as an assistant facilitator).
7. Implementation of frequent supervisory visits to work sites (inside and outside the center) to ensure the quality of implementation and adherence to technical and administrative recommendations.
8. Reviewing the daily, monthly, midterm, and final reports of the center managers, which are requested by the project manager, and ensuring that the information and data match.
9. Holding a periodic weekly meeting with the center managers and a periodic monthly meeting with all the team to ensure its commitment to the recommendations and procedures.
10. Review periodic samples of the approved means of verification for each activity in terms of the method of its conformity with the statistical files and the completeness of information and signatures.
11. Follow up on updating operational tracking files (hiring, procurement, monitoring and evaluation, project indicators,...etc.).
12. Contribute to the process of evaluating the performance of the center managers along with the project manager and evaluating the performance of technical supervisors along with the technical supervisor in Turkey (if there is technical expertise).
13. The team leader is subject to a periodic performance appraisal by the department manager in Turkey, the project manager, and the protection department manager in Syria.
14. Update periodically with the protection department manager in Syria all field activities, achievements, challenges, and proposed solutions.
**Note:** The above-mentioned key responsibilities/accountabilities are illustrative ones. Other future responsibilities/accountabilities may be assigned to the job depending on the department's organizational chart.
**Qualification (Education/Work Experience)**
1. **Essential:**
- A university degree (4 years minimum).
- Experience in administrative work (at least one year).
- Good administrative qualifications.
- At least two years of professional experience in the same position.

• Excellent experience in project management (planning, implementation).
• Good background in protection projects.
• Excellent skills in working on computer programs (Word - Excel - Email).
• Good level of English.
