**Position Summary**
The Partnerships and Institutional Communications Officer will support NSPPL in strengthening its external relations, institutional visibility, and engagement with partners and stakeholders. The post holder will contribute to the development of institutional communication materials, support partnership-building efforts, and represent the organization in relevant meetings and events. The role will also support coordination with relevant authorities on administrative and licensing matters, as required.
**Key Responsibilities**
\- Build and maintain professional relationships with local and international partners, NGOs, networks, and other relevant stakeholders.
\- Identify opportunities for collaboration and partnerships that align with NSPPL’s strategic objectives and programmatic priorities.
\- Support the external representation of NSPPL in meetings, forums, coordination platforms, and events related to humanitarian and development work.
\- Contribute to the implementation of NSPPL’s institutional communications and visibility efforts across appropriate channels.
\- Draft, update, and maintain institutional communication materials, including organizational profiles, factsheets, presentations, and briefing notes.
\- Develop institutional communication products such as organizational updates, key messages, visibility materials, presentations, briefing notes, and selected human-interest stories in coordination with program teams.
\- Collect, organize, and synthesize information from different departments to support institutional communication, external engagement, and reporting needs.
\- Support the planning and organization of partner meetings, official visits, events, and other external engagement activities.
\- Liaise with relevant government entities on organizational administrative procedures and licensing requirements, when requested.
\- Ensure the professional, consistent, and accurate representation of NSPPL in all external interactions.
\- Support the documentation of partnership meetings, follow-up points, and agreed action items.
\- Perform any other related tasks assigned by the line manager.
**Qualifications and Experience**
\- Bachelor’s degree in communications, Public Relations, Media, International Relations, Business Administration, Political Science, or another relevant field.
\- At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in partnerships, institutional communications, public relations, external relations, or NGO coordination.
\- Previous experience in the humanitarian or development sector is an asset.
\- Demonstrated experience in drafting professional content in both Arabic and English.
\- Experience in stakeholder engagement, coordination, and professional representation is strongly preferred.
\- Familiarity with the Syrian NGO operating environment and coordination landscape is an advantage.

\- Excellent interpersonal, networking, and relationship management skills.
\- Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Arabic.
\- Ability to draft clear, professional, and institutionally appropriate content for different audiences.
\- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
\- Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
\- Good judgment, diplomacy, and professionalism in external representation.
\- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and common digital communication tools.
**Languages**
\- Fluency in Arabic and English, both written and spoken, is required.
**Duty Station and Travel**
The position is based in Homs, Syria, with occasional travel to Damascus or other locations, as required.
