JOB OBJECTIVES:
Based in Lyon and reporting to the Finance Department of HI, you will join the management control team of the federal network and national associations on a permanent contract.
As Financial Controller, you will be responsible for the financial management, budget oversight, and internal control of your area of responsibility, in compliance with local standards and the financial framework of the Handicap International network. You will provide operational support to the Management, the teams within your area of responsibility, and the governance bodies, while also contributing to cross-functional projects for the federal network.
Working closely with the Director, you will participate in strengthening the governance and financial planning of the network.
In order to achieve this goal:
Accounting and Treasury Management
You contribute to the monthly and annual accounting closings related to the shared services of the HI Federation.
You monitor cash flow and anticipate financing needs.
You coordinate statutory audits and maintain the relationship with the auditors.
Compliance and internal control
You guarantee compliance with legal, tax and regulatory obligations (annual accounts, VAT).
You contribute to the continuous improvement of internal control and risk management.
Budgetary management and financial control
You develop, monitor and revise the budget.
You set up and analyze financial indicators (KPIs), monitor variances and identify risks.
You prepare the operating accounts, financial reporting and materials for the General Meeting.
You provide support and guidance to budget managers.
Institutional funding
You support the financial management of institutional contracts: budgets, amendments, reports, cash flow monitoring and audits.
You act as the interface with the Programmes, Institutional Funding teams… and the HI Federation.
Cross-cutting missions within the HI network
You will be responsible for the financial management of other national associations or shared services within the network (federal directorates, payroll management, etc.), as needed.
You carry out cross-functional financial analyses, ad hoc studies or contribute to structuring projects (improvement of processes, deployment of tools in national associations, at the federation or on programs).
REQUIRED PROFILE:
You have expertise in financial management, accounting and management control.
You have excellent proficiency in Excel and Windows tools.
You are proficient in using HI's internal business software, including Navision and the financing contract module.
You demonstrate autonomy, rigor and strong organizational skills.
You know how to analyze situations, propose improvements and direct your actions towards solutions.
You demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a network, in a multicultural environment in both French and English.

WORKPLACE ACCESSIBILITY:
The premises are easily accessible by public transport (bus, metro). Car park and bicycle parking are also available. Within the building, access ramps and elevators ensure smooth circulation. All workstations are located in an open-plan area, but quiet booths are available on each floor for those who wish to work in peace and quiet. The workspace is very bright.
